Whenever you feel like you need a bit of self-care, reach for this facial coffee scrub! Not only is it a great way to make use of your leftover coffee grounds, but all the recipes below are also invigorating, and the caffeine in the coffee stimulates blood flow, which promotes a healthy amount of circulation. This helps with eczema, scarring, and even cellulite. Apart from these properties, the coffee grounds also act as great scrubbing agents, removing dead skin cells.

Recipe 3 – you will need:
- The amount of coffee grounds leftover from your cup or
- Mixed with an equal amount of olive oil.
Where to get eco-friendly, mindful coffee
Like many other industries, as the demand for coffee surges, practices that harm the earth also gain increasing popularity. Plantations often remove trees and other native plants, which limits biodiversity and removes the habitat of many animals. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used, which can damage the nearby waterways and soil. In some cases, the plants that process the coffee release their waste into nearby rivers, which pollutes the water systems and can kill wildlife. For all of these reasons, it’s important to be mindful of the coffee you choose. Here are a few I recommend:- Larry’s Coffee – Organic, Shade-Grown, Fair Trade, and London-based
- Ethical Bean – Organic, Traceable Fair Trade, Seasonally Sourced
- Higher Ground – Organic, Fair Trade, Shade-Grown
